It’s not too uncommon for someone to wonder, how much schooling does a chiropractor really have?
Is it less than medical school? Is it the same? Is it a weekend seminar?
While I don’t wear a stethoscope around my neck on a daily basis to impress upon you all of my qualifications, I can tell you this — as a chiropractor, we are required to be a primary care physician, which means that we need to have all of the background medical knowledge to be able to make sure that you are in the right place in our office, and I’m the best person to be taking care of you for what you are experiencing.
In the medical world, they are really well trained in medications, what medications you might need, or you actually may not need it all.
There is a big difference between the two when it comes to how we care for our patients, but when it comes to the background education, the rigorous classes are just the same.
In fact, I probably spent more hours in anatomy lab than anyone else you know.
My job as your chiropractor is to keep you away from needing those medical world tools like prescriptions or surgeries, and to make sure you are taking the best possible care of your body so that you are feeling like you are living your life as close to your 100% as possible.
